Fujinomiya Cherry Blossom Spot Map

Cherry blossom spots in Fujinomiya City, at the foot of Mount Fuji

There are many cherry blossom viewing spots in Fujinomiya city. Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine in particular is a famous spot with a deep connection to cherry blossoms, as the name of the deity it enshrines, Konohana no Sakuya Hime no Mikoto, includes "tree flowers" (cherry blossoms). Fujinomiya city has the highest elevation difference in Japan, and cherry blossoms bloom in the Shibakawa district and city area, which are at low altitudes, and can be enjoyed for about a month in the northern district and the Mt. Fuji area on the mountainside.
