There are many cherry blossom viewing spots in Fujinomiya city.
In particular, Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine is a famous spot with a deep connection to cherry blossoms, as the name of the enshrined deity, Konohana no Sakuya Hime no Mikoto, includes the word "konohana" (cherry blossom).
In addition, Fujinomiya City has the highest elevation difference in Japan, and cherry blossoms begin to bloom in the Shibakawa and urban areas, which are at a low altitude, and can be enjoyed for about a month in the northern areas and even in the Mount Fuji area on the mountainside.
