Fuji Scroll Hunt

Fujinomiya is the place where Minamoto no Yoritomo held the Fuji Makigari hunting event during the Kamakura period.
It is also the setting for "The Soga Brothers' Revenge," in which the Soga brothers avenged their father during the Fuji Makigari hunting event.
Why not think back to the Kamakura period and experience history?

A sacred waterfall about which Minamoto no Yoritomo also wrote a poem

Shiraito Falls is known as one of Japan's most famous waterfalls, where the underground waters of Mt. Fuji flow out from a cliff 20m high and 150m wide. The Obinzu waterfall above the waterfall is said to be the place where Minamoto no Yoritomo styled his hair before the Fuji Makigari hunting event.

It is registered as a World Heritage Site as part of "Mount Fuji - a place of worship and a source of artistic inspiration."

This fierce waterfall has been selected as one of Japan's 100 best waterfalls along with Shiraitonotaki. Its name comes from the legend that when the Soga brothers were secretly discussing how to kill Kudo Suketsune, they lamented the roaring sound of the waterfall to the heavens, and the sound stopped for a moment.

Hidden Rock of Soga

Hidden Rock of Soga

It is said that Soga's Hidden Rock is the place where the Soga brothers (older brother Juro Sukenari and younger brother Goro Tokimune) spyed out Kudo Suketsune's camp, which was said to be located on the east side of the rock, and held a secret meeting to plan a raid on the castle.

The Soga brothers' raid began when their father, Kawazu Saburo Sukeyasu, was assassinated by Kudo Suketsune in Izu over a territorial dispute. As they grew up, the brothers craved revenge, and on the evening of May 4, 1193 (the 5th year of Kenkyu), they killed Kudo Suketsune, who was participating in the Fuji Makigari hunting event.
