Fujisan Skyline
The Omote Fuji Circumferential Road, commonly known as the "Mount Fuji Skyline," is the name of a 34.5km section of road at the foot of Mount Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is broadly divided into two sections: the "circumferential section" connecting Fujinomiya City and Gotemba City, and the "climbing section" that stretches from the second station of Mount Fuji to the Fujinomiyaguchi fifth station. The Fujinomiyaguchi fifth station, at an altitude of 2m, is the highest point in Japan accessible by private car. Also along the road are Nishiusuzuka Parking Lot (Fujinomiya City) and Mizugazuka Park (Susono City).
| Business Information | The "mountain climbing section" is subject to restrictions on private vehicles in summer and closed in winter. The "circumnavigation section" also requires the use of winter tires and chains during the freezing winter months. |
