This tomb is located about 100 meters east of Soga no Kakureiwa. It is said that Kudo Suketsune's camp during the Fuji hunting festival was located around this tomb, and there is also said to have once been an old tree called "Makuhari no Momi" (fir tree with stalks) just to the east.

The "Soga Brothers' Revenge," one of Japan's three great vendettas, is known as the incident in which brothers Soga Sukenari and Soga Tokimune killed Kudo Suketsune, their father's enemy, during the Fuji Makigari hunting event led by Minamoto no Yoritomo. Near Shiraito Falls in Fujinomiya City, there are related spots such as Soga no Kakureiwa, where the Soga brothers are said to have hid, the Soga brothers' sacred ground, the grave of Kudo Suketsune, their target of vendetta, and Soga Shrine, which enshrines the Soga brothers.
