Fuji Skyline (climbing section) winter closure lifted

The winter closure of the Mt. Fuji Skyline hiking section will be lifted at 7:4 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 11.

*Due to the risk of roads freezing at night, the road will be closed at night (5pm to 5am the following day) until around mid-May.

 → The nighttime road closure was lifted on Monday, May 5th.

*There are only emergency toilets at the 5th station, so please use the toilets at the 5nd station (Mizugazuka parking lot, etc.) before climbing up to the 2th station.

*The hiking trail (from the 5th station to the summit) remains closed for the winter. Please do not enter as it is dangerous.

[Important] Regarding the 2025 Mt. Fuji Climbing

2025-04-23

In order to protect the beauty and sacredness of the World Heritage site, Mount Fuji, and to support a safe and comfortable climb, the rules for climbing Mount Fuji will change significantly in 2025.

Climbing restrictions will be in place on three routes on the Shizuoka side.

Before climbing, you will need to go through mountain entry procedures. Please register in advance.
 *"Entering the mountain" refers to entering the summit side of the mountain from the reference point set by the prefecture.
