Mayor's Award (Grand Encouragement Award 2021) (10 yen grant)

Part Number
Japanese sake "Fuji no Makigari"
Applicant
Makino Shuzo Joint Stock Company
Products
The souvenir we have planned this time is a sake called "Fuji no Makigari" (300ml), which is named after the taiga drama "The 2022 Lords of the Kamakura" scheduled to be broadcast in 13. It is carefully brewed by hand by master brewers and brewers who have inherited traditional techniques, using spring water from the majestic Mt. Fuji. We already sell the trademarked "Fuji no Makigari" 4-go bottle (720ml) and cup sake (180ml) series, but this time we have created a new size of 300ml, which is perfect as a souvenir. When you think of Fujinomiya, you think of "Mt. Fuji," of course, but this "Fuji no Makigari" is also very important from a cultural point of view. We believe that this new type of sake, which is based on "Fuji no Makigari," which will be attracting more attention than ever due to the influence of the taiga drama, will be a souvenir that will further energize Fujinomiya in the future. For these reasons, we propose this souvenir, which is filled with Fujinomiya's "rich nature" and "history and culture."

Encouragement Award (3 yen subsidy)

Part Number
Fuji no Makigarizuke (pickled Mangenbuta in sake lees)
Applicant
Sanoman
Products
The food culture of "Miso-zuke" and "Kasuzuke" that spreads throughout the foothills of Mt. Fuji is said to have been favored by Minamoto no Yoritomo, who had deep ties to Fujinomiya through the Fuji Makigari hunting festival. Sanoman respects this traditional culture and was one of the first to adopt it and commercialize it as miso-pickled pork "Mansozuke." Mansozuke is also widely used as a gift to convey the culture of the region to the outside world. As a new product related to Mansozuke, we have developed a kasuzuke of pork (Mangenton) made using sake lees from Fuji Takasago Sake Brewery. We will convey the food culture of the foothills of Fuji as a souvenir unique to this area, known as "Fuji Makigari Zuke."

We developed this product so that people can easily enjoy rainbow trout, which boasts the highest farming volume in Japan. We developed this rice cracker using rainbow trout, which are safely raised in the spring waters of Mt. Fuji, the number one in Japan, as an ingredient, with the concept of making it healthy and energizing. We aimed for a refreshing taste that evokes the image of the spring waters of Mt. Fuji. We hope that it will be loved by local people and appeal to tourists as a food developed by local high school students. This product was manufactured with the cooperation of Sankakuya Co., Ltd. We aim to sell it in local shops and stores that handle tourist goods. Once this product is established, we would like to work on developing a sister product with a different flavor.
